He invites us to take a look at ourselves and the everchanging world around us.With a talent for writing in a prophetic state of consiousness,and a truely unique sense of melody and rhythm, he creates songs with familar old timey vibes with very powerful lyrical content, continuing the tradition of great wordsmiths like Woody Guthrie,Willie Dixon,Blind Willie Johnson,Bob Dylan, Tom Waits,Peter Tosh, and Johnny Cash. Atlantic City,to Williamsburg,VA RiYeN RoOtS (a.k.a."RiYeN MiC CoOL") Has been performing and playing music professionaly for audiences since the age 3. As a child he sang "old standards" and for different events around the Atlantic City and Philadelphia area,performing at Martin Luther King Jr.,Veteren's Day, and Memorial Day parades, city events,casinos,and singing live on television four years in a row on Jerry Lewis's March of Dimes Telethon.Growing up performing in Atlantic City was the ultimate learning environment to teach him the ropes of the entertainment biz.
This guys has been performing in the biz a while and shared stages and brushed shoulders with some of the best in the buisiness.Now with twenty five plus years in the music industry, and he's only thirty one. He would like to be seen in the book of life as an artist first and foremost who expressed his passions for the state of those around him on this planet by way of MUSIC AND THE WRITTEN WORD, the most powerful mediums of his time.A musician,preacher, poet, family man, and social activist, who gave all he had mind, body, spirit, and voice to a world in need.
