The Herd of Main Street is a five-piece rock band specializing in music from the American perspective and spectrum. Call it soul, rock, country, blues, or just call it American, but the music of The Herd of Main Street is guaranteed to get hips a-shaking, feet a-tapping, and heads a-bobbin.Blending Country, Blues and Folk, the group released a self-titled album last year. the band is Peter wile on vocals and guitar; Gena Smith on pedal steel, guitar, and vocals; Corey Zook on guitar; Nick Jewett on bass and piano/organ; and Lance Smith on drums.
They stir together a rich mixture of Americana, blues, country,
rock and possibly touches of other things deep and soulful to produce a collection of 10 songs that will take the listener on a journey far outside the grip of the cold, grey city. This is the music of wind-swept country plains and stretches of open road disappearing into a distant vanishing point.
