The band consists of bluegrass, country/bluegrass and a bit of gospel! Strong lead vocals of Julia Ann give this band just what audiences are looking for! Songs range from ballads, hard-drivin' pure bluegrass, and country with a bluegrass twist. You'll keep wanting more and more after you first hear them!
Jjulia Ann ("julie) came into this world singing. she started when she was old enuff to make a sound in her church choir. she later took part in several musicals & talent competitions where she won several awards. she traveled w/ "the gospel travelers" while in high school then tried her hand @ country w/the band "tripple take" but found out a few years back while w/"mountain top express" that bluegrass
was her passion. she has sang w/"flat broke", "leicester country grass" & her own band "laurelridge bluegrass." in 1995 she auditioned @ "dollywood" theme park in pigeon forge, tennessee & was 1 of 7 performers chosen from 1500.Julia Ann has been singing since she was old enough to make a sound. she grew up singing in the church choir & then began to study music in elementary school. she did several musicals such as "annie get your gun," "annie," "hello dolly," "the sound of music," "grease" (to name a few).
Julia also plays mandolin & teaches voice lessons. she has opened up for the "Blackwood Quartet" and performed regularly Ghost Town In The Sky theme park as well as the Carolina Nights Theatre and Carolina Opry.
This past yr she played Bluegrass First Class in asheville nc w/ many of bluegrass best acts. she has 2 solo cd's out & a live cd w/her band. Her unique sound & wonderful testimony is what makes this vocalist stand heads above the rest! she will make you laugh, cry, smile, think, & ALWAYS leave you breathless...
