Asheville NC-born singer songwriter, poet, music biz executive, consultant, artist manager, record label owner, Music Hall owner - These are but a few of the many hats Bob Hinkle as worn in his storied music career.

By popular request, Bob Hinkle will be sharing more songs and stories of his musical journeys. Those of you fortunate to have been there for his first evening of songs and stories know what a masterful storyteller Bob is. In May, Bob spoke of his experiences from playing music in Asheville as a young teen to his years at UNC to his performing and music management career in New York. This Saturday Bob will pick up where he left and tell more stories of managing many to musical stars before moving into the Childrens' Music field where he founded his own company, working with a variety of entertainers from Raffi to the Olsen Twins.

From the 60's through the present, Bob has been deeply involved at the heart of American popular music and has a life-time of stories to tell about the people, places, and events of contemporary music. While in New York for the past 40 something years, Bob managed artists such as The J. Geils Band, Harry Chapin, Tom Chapin, Etta James, Kenny Rogers, Manfred Mann, and the comedian Gallagher. He also worked with The Olsen Twins on the early career in television, music, and video.

He's worked for or consulted with companies like Hallmark Entertainment, The Smithsonian Institution, BMG, All Music Guide, Zoom Express, Ampex, The Childrens Group, Infidel, National Interfaith Cable Coalition, Jim Henson Records, and others .

An accomplished musician and writer in his own right, Bob will also share his own songs and poetry as he is joined by by local artists including Seth Lee and Appalachia Song.
