Formed in 1998, Shelby, NC, based band "Tater" is celebrating a decade of delivering"Hi-Test Hillbilly" music to dancing feet everywhere!
Comprised of seasoned musicians Luke Edwards, Roger Padgett, Philip Simmons, and Kelly Hull, Tater blends bluegrass, country, and rock n' roll into a unique style they have dubbed "Hi-Test Hillbilly". In addition to being a staple of the regional music scene for the last 10 years, Tater is also celebrating five years of hosting their own music festival, "Taterfest", showcasing regional and national musicians and bands. With a live CD, "Where the Metal Meets the Grass", released at the end of 2007, and a new studio CD in the works, Tater is looking forward to seeing what the next 10 years holds!
